League of Legends players have raised an astounding $6 million in support for Riot Games’ Social Impact Fund. Now Riot is asking players to vote on the charity they want to hand over a large chunk of the money to. Players can vote for their preferred charity in the League client from 10 to 23 April and the wining non-profit will receive 50% of the proceeds. All other regional charities are also guaranteed to receive a minimum grant of $10,000.

The League client will only show players available charities to choose from in their respective regions, but they make take a look at the complete list in the statement. Riot Games established the Social Impact Fund in October 2019 as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. In December 2019, Riot launched its 1000th skin, Dawnbringer Karma, and announced that proceeds of its sale will be donated to the Social Impact Fund.

“Being a global company enables us to approach social impact with a global mindset. A key part of that is allowing players to have agency in selecting to support what matters most to them. We hope to learn a lot from this approach and look forward to continuing our journey forward together,” Riot said in a statement.
