Obsidian entertainment is excited to announce that The Outer Worlds will finally launch on Nintendo Switch on 5 June. The Outer Worlds is expected to retail for $59.99 and will be available in both physical and digital formats. However, those who prefer the physical cartridge still need to ensure extra space in their memory for the patch.
“The retail version The Outer Worlds comes on a physical cartridge, and it will be accompanied by a day one patch that could be up to 6 GB. This patch will optimize gameplay, provide additional hi-res textures, and include other fixes to provide the employees of Halcyon with the best gameplay experience,” Obsidian Entertainment explained in tits announcement. They also urged players to ensure that they have the available space necessary for the patch.
The Outer Worlds was initially scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch on 6 March, but Obsidian decided to postpone the launch due to the closing of Virtuos offices amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the game has been released on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One since October 2019 and has even been nominated for four game awards since then.
